Anyone seen this? One of the episodes is on WW2 sniper rifles (SVT, Lee, Garand and Sprinfield) It's on their on-demand channel now. It's a bit of the usual story (Sons of guns etc) so couldn't vouch for its historic accuracy but a reasonable watch none the less.

Bit of a mess (built in fails for added televisual drama) in parts: his gunsmith said that the gas tube on the SVT was buggered; yet he still insisted on taking it as is & then being surprised when it jammed on firing = so written off as a valid contender.
Same for his lack of bolt-action skills with the Enfield & Springfield = the Garand was the winner = forgone conclusion
Biased from the start
Could have been good if he'd concentrated on bolt-actions one show the semi-autos the next

I was horrified at the way he had to walk in a rifle that was ready to shoot at 100 yards. Maybe someone with a bot more firearms experience would have given a more reasoned comparison.

Completely agree - it was the shot ten feet to the left at a 100 yards that seemed somewhat staged.

Agree with the comments above. Nice to have a rumage through the dealers shown though. That guy in Atlanta had some collection behind the vault door.

Loved the warehouse full with crates of firearms, would have been like Christmas morning opening those up

Watched. Entertainment for non-shooters.

Yup.....and with typical annoying <I have to shout loudly all the time> USA presenting as well......
The one the previous week about restoring the Hellcat tank destroyer was equally bad (although the footage shown of the Big Sandy Shoot was worth watching it for)

sounds a bit like the forgotten weapons test of England vs Germany. give a leftie a lee enfield and say its slow to use.
all these shows never seem to do logical comparisons

weirdly I normally like forgotten weapons, his video on the EM2 was fascinating... mostly for a working example still existing. I guess everyone fluff's or does something stupid every now and again.
