new see through mags for glocks

I could take or leave the ability to count rounds in a mag - but that weapon in the pic looks very purposeful !!!

The original black glock mags are very "rounds left count" friendly as they are ... and anyway you can not see them when inserted in a hand-gun the way they can in a shoulder-held gun. So I don't quite see the benefit ?

On the subject, does anybody has any serious experience of this type of "see through" material ? Is the translucent material more fragile/as robust as the "classic" black polymer ? I have some bulgy AK mags but have not had time to mistreat them enough to make a proper opinion.

Also don't see the point of clear pistol mags, unless they're going to start making clear frames for Glocks too!

My Steyr Aug had clear mags and you could literally drive a car over them. Some of that strength was derived from the waffle pattern on them too though.

Sig 550 translucent mags are just fine. As said, why have see through mags for a pistol, seems more like a marketing gimmick than a benefit. Must get some though.
