NEW SHOOTING RANGE IN RUSHCIFF

Has anyone heard about this new range in Rushcliff, from what i have heard it is going to challenge Bisley for shooting in the UK
Can anyone confirm this or is it just one of them rumours that has gone from a few new shooting point to a hole new range.

The landscape around Rushcliffe looks like it could support a new shooting complex but somehow it seems unlikely, the land required for the danger area alone would be an issue unless it is owned by the person looking to set it up. There is a clay pigeon place in that are, maybe they are going to make it a bit more permanent.

Here's a thought, if I was to win the Euro millions lottery which is doubtful as I do not do it, the pot is worth 107million, if I was to give half that or say 60million to fund a shooting centre of excellence in this sort of area, for future generations of shooters I wonder how good and well equipped venue we would get?

Heh, I could call it the F-B(UK) community shooting centre and Dromia and Dodgyrog could be on the panel that ran it to ensure fair play.

Ah good point, or maybe they would impose a ban on Post45 Actions.

Actually I think they would do a good job of helping to make somewhere for the masses.

Me, I would love to see all of the barriers broken down between organisations and enable it to be a place for all shooters regardless of discipline, age and health to meet up and shoot to their hearts content. With working electronics as well! Also access for less privileged and disabled shooters, with small dedicated dormitory blocks for over night stays and canteen facilities that supplied wholesome food and cost prices so negating the need for dodgy burger bars.

.....and to indulge myself a 2000 yard range capped to .338 Lapua.

Hi
Yes it would be good to have a really good modem range where you can shoot at any range any rifle and have somewhere for national and international competitions.
When you look at what some of the other nations have we are looking a bit sad.
We need a good range in the center of the UK to many clubs down south or up in Scotland

I wonder if the NRA would aspire to such lofty ideals. Oh well, I can dream.
