HI All
I really want to update my FT/T kit. I have an excellent Nightforce scope and a great FT/R bipod but I want a gun that will be competitive at Bisley from 600 to 100 yards.
I'm looking at getting a Dolphin. Any thoughts on what stock, action and barrel I should be thinking about. Thanks.

I have a Dolphin that I bought in May this year. Nesika action, Bartlein 1:11 barrel and Jewel trigger in the Dolphin modular stock. Hits v-Bulls on an F class target at 1000 yards so I'm happy :)
Will be using it for competition shoots next year. This year was to ease myself in to fullbore, been smallbore for last 3 years.
The spec was discussed with Mik prior to me travelling up to pick it up.

Thanks
Is the trigger set very light? Also what ammunition are you using and will £2800 get me there?
Thanks again.

At £2500 you'll have some left over for consumables in Mikabelas as well.

Trigger is not set as light as my .22 match rifle.
2800 will get you there. Mine, without scope was around 2500. Add a rear bag, bolt holder and a few other bits and pieces and you'll soon be up to 2800.
I'm using Berger 155.5 and also Sierra Tipped match kings 168gr. Both with Lapua Palma brass and RS52 powder.

Worth looking at the GBFCA website in the For Sale section - always plenty of good s/h kit for sale.

Good choice using one of Miks rifles, excellent kit and great service
In terms of stocks I think the main choice is between either the dolphin aluminium or joe west wood stock, both feel different and it is well worth spending some time on deciding what your own preference is (for me Miks ally stock is spot on!)
Action wise, you'll see mostly barnards on the firing line at a league shoot, excellent actions well proven time and time again, I opted for a nesika as they too are an excellent bit of kit and in my opinion the best choice (although I'm sure others will disagree as they often do

)
For me it has to be a bartlein (again many other brands available)
A lot of it's personal choice really but whatever you decide on you'll be happy with it from MIk who'll build you a top class rifle
Have a good chat with Mik and enjoy the Dolphin experience as many of us already have
