Azaincourt, 1415.

Badger drew his yew stick* and loosed an arrow, raised a glass of Warre's 1967 vintage tawny port and cried,
"God for Harry, England and Saint George"
in memory of the 600th anniversary of the battle of Azaincourt, fought this day in 1415.
Not one to do things by halves, he downed a second glass in memory of La Flamengrie, October 23rd, 1339 (similar result.)
Badger is an archer, and looses a 90 lb yew stick whereso'er he wishes, as permitted by the Statute of Cambridge.

it was also the charge of the Light Brigade today, wasn't it?
I always thought the charge was unsuccessful, but they did actually reach the guns at the end of the valley and kill a load of the Russians there

*93rd Regt. of Foot at that time.

Archers went to battle at Azincpurt with bare bpttpms...Have you dpne sama for your celebration?
