You could go detachable magazine conversion.
I bought one off ovenpaa on here not too long back and got it fitted by a local gunsmith. Great quality and works great. took a little fettling from what I was told, but takes AICS magazines which are pretty much the most common around...

Update for you, ordered one of the above from Breacher (forum member) as he said they were in stock. Arrived yesterday with clear fitting instructions.
From start to finish of fitting did not take more than 10 mins, the plastic extender fitted perfectly inside the trigger guard, using the original mag spring and follower, a thin punch and hammer is needed to tap out the front hinge pin this is used again in the new extender.
Once fitted it now allows 9x.223 rounds to be loaded which is alot better than standard. I went for this system as no alterations are needed to inlet the stock which maybe needed if you intend fitting a full magazine conversion kit, and it's suggested a gunsmith carries out the work. £££££££
A plus point the extender is alot cheaper and a DIY item. I cycled some practice rounds/snap caps through the action from the new mag extender it worked perfectly.

I to have one from Breacher (highly recommend dealing with him) fitted mine and cycles perfectly, been told if grind down the two lugs on bottom of follower you can fit 10 rounds but im not keen on being first one to try it

. Trying to source another follower to try it
