Hi does anyone use .223 55gr DAG ammo and what do you think of it, the stuff i was using in a gun at range had a green ring around the primer, it shot brilliant groups but im struggling to find anywhere that sells it i am in cheshire/staffs area, been told geco is the same stuff ? But shot some geco and not overly impressed (another post) just wondered if anyone uses it and what you think and where i can get some

DAG is German Milsurp ammo. Try Simply Ammo at oldham (bit of a trek but hey ho) I've had German Milsurp 7.62 off him before.

The green around the primer is waterproofing - I'd wager your primers have crimp marks on them too?

FWIW - DAG is "Dynamit Nobel A-G":

Ok mate thank you, it says DAG .223 i thought military stuff was all head stamped 5.56x45 mate, im not doubting you by the way, just curious

Actually that's a fair point - forgot you said it was .223 - it's the primer varnish that threw me! Is the primer crimped out of curiosity?

No mate primer isnt crimped on them, they come in 30 round boxes with a blue label

I was always impressed by the quality of DAG brass.
