Ar15 gas block punch tool

Could anyone please tell me what size punch I would need to remove the gas block on my AR

Try 1/8", if that doesn't fit try the next size down.

Remember they are tapered so go the right way.

Hi Hunter, the roll pin itself is 0.078". so 5/16 will w2ork. I went ahead and bought the Geissele Gas Block Pin Punch Set made specifically for the removal and installation of the 0.078 roll pin. $25 for the set of two punches might seem a little expensive but other punches I tried bent when trying to remove the gas block. The Geissele punch set got the job done without any fuss as they are hardened treated steel.

Brownells UK sell them for 30 Quid, yeah I know they are expensive but hey, right tool for the job and all that. http://www.brownells.co.uk/epages/UK.sf ... rchButton=

BTW, that 30 quid price includes VAT and delivery.

That's everyone got sorted just bought a regular punch of ebay
