Mike Yardley on Radio 2 today (27/7/15) African hunting

I inadvertently found myself listening to the Jeremy Vine show today. Naturally my blood pressure is considerably higher now, as it always is when firearms it hunting are discussed in mainstream media!

They were discussing the killing of "Cecil", a lion in Zimbabwe.

Mike Yardley was the guest "expert" representing shooting/hunting.

I didn't hear the whole piece, which may be available on BBC listen again.

Anyone catch the whole thing (I suspect it was fairly predictable bile...)

I wonder what they'll come out with after spending a day at Bisley during the Imperial - perhaps it's part of the same series. Ballsy move allowing him to film.

..

Vine made my out of list idiot list when I heard him talk about children who were worried about their fathers coming back from war and he compared to it children being anxious like their parents today and said the WW2 today had no violence to worry about? wtf? And him badgering the the last surviving pilot from the Enola gay about whether he was ashamed of what he'd done. The guy was polite and told him he was not ashamed. I'd not have been as polite with Vine there.

Kyle.... bugger me there's a whole can of a-holery. At the end of the day he's no different than the people who wrangled the Elephant Man in Victorian times, only difference is now its the pot smoking, sti, kid pumping out (a child is for life, not just for benefits), class to be fair aren't rocket scientists, so running rings round them is not difficult. And my opinion about Yardley is he's to shooting in the uk these days as to what Vine and Kyle are to their professions.

he parted ways, some here mentioned to the editor his recent antics and was not impressed. Also quite a few dealers are aware of the crap he spews also.
