I wouldn't usually do this but I found this guy commenting on a recent Fieldsports UK video called Edgun UK, apparently a dealer/gunsmith in the UK but with an extremely anti shooting mindset. Here is a copy of the comments made on Youtube, I think he is in the Airgun world and it is up to you but I wouldn't give this guy any business:

+Edgunsuk We have to support all types of shooting and hunting otherwise we will hang separately. Haven't we learned enough of this when the Pistol Ban was enacted. With other shooters of bolt action rifles and shotguns not wanting to support "crazy walter mitty handgunners".

Well as a qualified gunsmith i really dont think we lost anything by banning handguns as far as sporting activities goes but my point was not the fox hunting my point is the people making this show yet again catering for the wealthy not the average man , now excuse me while i jump on my horse and have my servant hand me a glass of port.

How wrong you are. Look up 3 Gun, UKPSA practical Long Barrel Revolver, Long barrel pistol as well as action air. Then look up international IPSC handgun. A very fun, dynamic and exciting sport that is one of the fastest growing shooting disciplines in the world. I am afraid to say but you are behind with the times.

well if i have never heard of it its hardly popular is it ? been a working gunsmith for 22 years and shot at bisley on occasion (yes even with a pistol) but my opinion is my opinion cant expect you to agree. My comment stands this Chanel is about toffs, just look at the privileged English schools, that are within buying distance of the people organizing the, challenge .

By serving an apprenticeship and gaining his city & guilds. There are still some time served gunsmiths around despite many calling themselves gunsmiths when in actual fact they are not gunsmiths at all but gun plumbers or even just bodgers.

It certainly does seem like a strange attitude from someone in the trade. I would agree he probably is a troll because a true gunsmith wouldn't call them handguns he would say pistols.

An armourer isn't a gunsmith. There is a considerable difference between an armourer and a gunsmith. I don't know about the army but in the RAF armourers are always referred to as plumbers.

Surely a "real" gunsmith would welcome all types of shooting sports? It would give you a larger customer base and bring in more business.
