If they're obsolete then they're just curios and treated as such, (and i'm presuming we're not talking about loaded rounds here!)
Come to think of it brass isn't a restricted item anyway, only thing i've ever had to show my FAC for is loaded rounds and primers.
Maybe list it in the for sale section?

Parts for obsolete such as bullets and cartridge cases can be sold as normal, loaded and live ammunition needs to be face to face or via RFD and if face to face purchaser must be authorised to hold the ammunition and it be entered on their certificate. The exception being some cartridge collectors do not require ammunition to be listed on their certificate in areas such as Hampshire and Bedfordshire.
Personally I much prefer to keep obsolete ammunition as live examples as long as they are safe as it seems a shame to destroy them. I have just acquired a handful of 5mm pinfire and would not consider deactivating them.
