Hi boys & girls ive finally got my K22 standed, ive taken it apart and there is 2 springs under the barrel on the follower I think its called, do both springs have to be in or do you just use 1.

The "follower" is part of the magazine and not the gun... But, you've taken a gun apart and want to know if you should leave one of the parts out, that was designed so, yes?

Early reviews of the K22 reported that it came with two separate springs, and one chose the spring that worked best for your ammo, which is probably why you asked the question in the first place.

Later versions of the gun have two, one inside the other. Mine is one of those, and I've left the springs that way. Been working fine for 16 months now. Unless you are using really non-standard ammunition, I think you'll be fine too.

Yes mate that's right, on you tube they mention 2 springs, but the pistol ive got has one spring inside the other.

And sim im more than competent with a fire arm, but its the first pistol ive had and I took it apart to clean all the crap of it and lube it properly, ok, I just didn't explain myself properly.

I remember watching Scot put three K22 Pistols through a torture test consisting of thousands of rounds and didn't see one failure to feed/fire.

Excellent pistols, now! if they were the proper size and cost say...£250... I'd buy one. razz

You see, us old timers are still living in the past and £250 was a reasonable price for a handgun in our day.

From what I can gather, even in the rest of the world £250 is not a price for anything but a 10 year old second hand job, things have moved on a bit since 1997.


In NI for example they're pretty much paying for a 9mm sig sauer what people on the mainland are paying for the Icon arms 22 lbp.

£750 now just for the standed pistol, I went to try it out yesterday and it is very accurate, its just shooting about an inch & half to the left, but im struggling to alter the sight, ive undone the alan nut and taken it out, but the sight wont budge, but apart from that the gun is great.

You need to tap it with a brass or plastic punch etc.

Cheers pal ill give it a try, im just a bit afraid of damaging it though.
