Muzzle brakes

Can anyone recommend a good muzzle brake for a .308 that doesn't require timing, is quick/easy to install on a threaded barrel and doesn't have any ports on the bottom ? The Gen II APA Little b****** brake seems to be perfect but I was just wondering if there is a UK equivalent. Thx

Mark Bradley does a great little 5.56mm unit for the AR - I have one on my CSR rifle and asked about the feasibility of boring it out / having one made for my SSG 69.
He sorted me out and it worked a treat. Small, compact and effective.

Crush washers don't allow for quick/easy install, that's why I'm looking for a different solution.

Just got a break for my Tikka T3 in .308 from Roedale, very pleased with service and the break -see link

Got a Bradley arms on my .308 works fine. If you have the funds and want a really nice brake that returns to position, then the best one I have tried is from Armalon.

What does timing mean?
I have a Rem 700 SPS in 308 that came with a brake and I don't know if it's been 'timed'

Do fellow Range-members object to brakes over there? Especially on larger calibers?
