Our local Aldi store has 20-60 x 60 scopes for £20. Might not be Kowa but can't be bad for £20!
Check out your nearest if you are interested?

If they are anything like the previous one I've looked through then I'd give it a miss. They were pretty awful b

For use at 25m, at 20X, they may not be too bad. I'm going to pick one up, simply to solve the problem of my wife stealing MY scope when we go shooting together. Come to think of it, I'd better get one for my son, too...
I'll report back on their utility for GR/25m pistol in a few days...

Bought one when they were on before, not so good.
Just about ok for 25yds unless you're spotting fall of shot from artillery...

OK, thanks for all the feedback -- perhaps I'll not bother after all.

So what's so bad about them? What stops them being useful at 50-100mards?

Crap glass, poor optics etc etc. the ability to see clearly in cloudy conditions is also a hinderance.

After doing a little research, I decided to buy one of these:
Celestron Ultima Refractor 80 - 45
£119.99 from Amazon. Very different price point, but will do for me, and allow the missus to have my old scope (an Opticron, 22x, bought 2nd-hand 20 years ago).

Depends what you're wanting it for but I've had one for 4 years or so and it's absolutely fine for sighting in no/low powered optics at either indoor ranges or outdoor to 100m. Can still just see 30 cal holes at 200m but 20 cal is a struggle without using ShootnSee type targets
