The Badger has on several occasions spoken about building something different in 7.62x54R. I saw this http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sal ... 7165534489 and thought it might fit the bill or paw (before he starts! ;) )

Is 7.62R a good target round? Only used a Mosin and pigs and banjos spring to mind. (Or is that my ability :squirrel: )

So you've never shot a 27/66 or 28/76?

Well, I have to say I have had V bulls at 900 yds with my Mosin Sniper and 3.5 mag scope, it actually out performed the Remy 700's with decent glass.

I'd imagine all those Russian 300 metre medallists would say yes.

I'd have to say for the majority of shooters, the round out performs the shooter (me obviously included)

Must be that lacquered milsurp I've been using, or I'm a **** shot. I was just curious because the round has been about for ever and I'd have thought that it would have been surpassed by now.

You're a bad influence, grit-grasper !

Imagine the scene:

FEO: "And why do you want another gun, Badger? Haven't you got enough already?"

Badger: "The voices on the net told me I needed it..."

FEO, backing away towards the door, hand on 'transmit': "Nice Badger, stay there Badger, wait to hear from us Badger..."
