What's a sensible price to pay for a Parker Hale T4 Private Buy?

Thanks Dodgyrog, But! The story is, once upon a time mate sells me a great one for £100, later I sell it back to him for £100, but, I miss it so he wants to sell it back for £100.

Now - I see a couple on Guntrader for £695 and £800 odd. If they are really worth that kind of money I'll tell him to flog it for a more realistic price. He's a mate after all.

With Target sights,£250ish is fair.

I sell brand-new (unused) condition ones for about £450-480, and used or first-pattern (slim forend) ones for £280-320.

They are so common, that all of the value is in the parts - the PH5E4 sight and the 7.52mm mag are worth £300ish by themselves. A T4 at auction, stripped of the mag and sights, is probably only worth about £50 or so.

You know Yves! You are completely right, I have treated Parker poorly. Initially I was attracted by her magnificent looks,(elle me rappelle d'une jeune fille une fois que je rencontrais à Montpellier, je me souviens bien, même si elle était Bastille Day et je avait bu une grande quantité de Pastis. :-) ) but being a sporting shooter who really only used her for plinking at 200yards I decided that she was a bit too heavy and reluctantly parted with her for a light sporter (I like small guns and really miss handguns )

Anyhoo!! My Friend then sold her to Tom, now Tom is a large uncouth type of lad who treated her badly and watching him saddened me no end, eventually he sold her back to my Friend and I seen my chance once more to be united with my first love.

Mind you she is still too f*** heavy and I intend to get her barrel shortened fit a muzzle break and a low power scope and turn her into a poor mans Scout Rifle, ideal for plinking bowling pins at 200 yards.
