Tier One (Third Eye Tactical) Spartan III Moderator

Well it's taken a couple of years, but I finally bit the bullet and decided to thread my Rem 700 for moderator. Since the Gunsmith (Rightly so) won't thread it without the moderator present to check threads and thread it to the actual thread, I needed to get a moderator ordered up.
I decided on this one, as it's not too expensive (£250) and can be used in Reflex (Over Barrel) and End of Barrel configurations. (Mode 2/3).
Total cost with postage worked out at £268.55.
Ordered it with a Tac break and really looking forward to seeing how it all performs.
Whilst my rifle is in the gunsmiths I'm also having him fit my DBM (Atlas Supplied by Ovenpaa) as I didn't want to risk the stock to hand tools and my Ham Fists, It's also having the headspacing set at the minimum spec, feed ramp polished, tactical bolt knob, lugs lapped... It's going to be an expensive bill... Hopefully be worth it though...!
Anyways, anyone have any reports on the Moderator specified? Any Range time with it? It'll be on a .223 for me, I'll report back when work is done :)

I have one of these which I've used on my .223, .308 and .300WSM rifles with excellent effect.

You won't regret it - I have exactly the package you mention with both Reflex and EOB adapters plus the Tac-brake - I'd buy the same again.
I've just ordered a Reflex adapter with an M18x1 thread so I can use it without the brake on our three heavy-barrel Tikka T3s.

Just thought that I'd mention that Damien at T1 has been great in communication and I've known what stage my order has been at throughout. They pushed it through quickly and it was out yesterday. hopefully be with my smith this weekend.
not sure how long til the work gets done, but excited to get it back. Might need a day at the range as soon as it's finished :)

Be interested to know how you get on, I have an ASE coming for 2 new rifles but it is in 30 cal to cover my 7mm-08 as well. Interested in a reflex caliber specific one and if it makes much difference in terms of moderation.
Tier 1 stuff certainly looks pretty good.

I've got a decent decibel meter, I'll try and Run some tests (although it's gonna be difficult on a shared range) see what the difference is between unmoderated (With the T1 brake that the mods attach to), With Reflex configuration, and again with end of barrel configuration.
I'll let you know.
The rifle is still at the gunsmiths at the moment, I phoned up the other day as he'd had the mod a couple of weeks by this point to see what stage the rifle was in, and apparently from my laundry list of things done, he's screw cut the rifle, fitted the mod, set minimum headspace, lapped the bolt lugs and polished the feed ramp and sent it off to the proof house. Once it's back, i believe it'll be tactical bolt knob and DBM inletting.
Hopefully have it back whilst there's still some nice weather to be had in the UK :)
