Probation Checklist...

Does anyone have a Probation Checklist for their club, in order to make sure that each and every member gets taught the same things, and make sure that no safety briefs are missed out for any member?

My Club since I have been there has never had a "programme" for new members, it's generally been the Secretary has coached members for the first 3 months and then when happy they become full members, but we are working on putting together a probation scheme where theres a checklist that gets ticked off by other members who have done the probation period and know exactly how the "course" is run. and then a test by the secretary/club instructors at the end of the probation.

We're trying to put together a checklist.

We know the NSRA do a particular procedure with Junior members and one of our members has done this exact course for years. But for some reason, nobody thoguht that every new member junior or not would be in the same boat.

Anyways, if anyone has any documents they'd like to share in order for us to build a bombproof probation checklist, it would be most appreciated (Smallbore only - SCC course runs Separately) :)

Muchios appreciatado! :D

Have a chat with Dromia, he runs the new members induction course at our club and does an excellent job :)

We have a book for the probies which also has a section to be signed by section leaders when they have visited various sections within the club , then they have a training record as well as proof of their shooting progression during their probation period .
