I consider myself to be an experienced reloader (Rimless cemtrefire 308 Win / 270 Win / 260 Rem / 338 Lapua Mag) and have created what I consider to be comprehensive but PRACTICAL Basic & Advanced course material that I would love to deliver to small groups or individuals with personalised follow-up if appropriate via email or phone.

I am in conversation with the BASC about this but would like to try and find out if there is a realistic 'market' out there or whether it would only have an uptake to cover running it once or twice a year.

Also wondering what insurance etc provisions I would need to undertake.

Any one got any thought or experiences?

Seriously though if you are going to run re loading courses what qualifications do the proposed instructors have that makes them compotent to deliver tuition on re loading to the newbie a potential mine field me thinks I can see them lining up to sue when they blow there little pinkies off.

Yes, I think so. Many reloaders are self taught or pick it up from books, the internet and Youtube, none of which are ideal

I consider myself to be a competent reloader however I am always prepared to learn and I would hope many other reloaders would as well if only to learn new tips/tricks or iron out potential bad habits.

Insurance - no idea how to start, maybe run this past BASC or the NRA and ask the delegates to sign a disclaimer as well. Also issue detailed course notes in your own words in Pdf format.

I would also suggest getting someone you know to check the course notes over as well prior to kicking the first course off.

Your comments reflect my own concerns and thats really why I am trying to get things started via BASC or similar...... knowing the way the world is these days I really don't want to fall foul of legal / litigation issues at the first outing!

I just think that there must be room to improve on the way that all of us probably picked things up 'piecemeal' by delivering a structured course with 'Crib-Sheet' handouts for reference AFTER the course finishes that tell the beginner WHAT to do and what SEQUENCE it needs to be done in..... nothing can ever physically prevent the more 'adventurous' (AKA stupid) from producing seriously over-pressure rounds after the event but part of the course would be education on why pressures arise and how to detect and 'back-off' before injury!!!

I am interested, especially from an accuracy perspective as I can easily reload bog standard ammo but it is the quest for accuracy that interests me.
Would love to see a course in Scotland but I'd travel to NE England if need be.

You see the danger we started talking about a basic re loading course and all ready you are prepared to travel to the North East of England were you assume us reloading gurus will give you all the answers to your accuracy re loading quest.

Could be an innocuous excuse to head South over the border and invade you lot :lol:
