Any AI AXMC Owners in here?

I used Search... Bobski was talking about getting one in the LMT thread.
I'm tempted about selling my TR - RPA Quadlite setup and putting a shedload of cash towards it and getting an AXMC in .308...
Anyone got any experience...? I know AI's are generally the go to for this type of rifle, however are expensive and have recently changed the lineup.
I'm thinking the AXMC over the AX308 as I'd like the choice for the future to put .300 through it or .338 If the opportunity arose...
Are .308 MC mags easy to come by as opposed to standard AI mags as they need a conversion on the MC correct?
Any more thoughts or just fill the thread with photos of them, I wouldn't mind that

We had an AXMC in a couple of weeks ago and have just received an order for another one. I would find it hard to criticise them being an avid Accuracy International fan, they are solid, well built and functional and the multi change function works well albeit it takes a couple of minutes to swap a barrel.
Magazines are easy enough to come by, we charge GBP60.00 each for the 10 shots.

As I recall if you want to swap between .338 and .308 you have to buy the rifle chambered in .338 and then use a conversion kit to step it down to .308. You apparently can't do it the other way because of mag length. It's probably a good idea to ring sporting services to qualify what I've just said. On a side note I've shot Bobski's AI and it's a quality rifle. :)

That is as I have stated why I'd go for the AXMC as opposed to the AX308.
The MC has a Large Action and the 308 has a small action. The large action can be fitted with a bolt to accommodate .308 bolt face, however the magazine well would be a different size and mags would require aconversion kit to fit the smaller .308 cartridge, which is why I asked about the Magazine availability.
David, are you suggesting you can get the larger mag with conversion kit for £60?
Ta, TG

I suppose the point I was trying to make was you have to buy it in .338, you can't add .338 later which is what your post suggested.
as I'd like the choice for the future to put .300 through it or .338 If the opportunity arose...

Unless I bought it with conversion kit from factory as their literature suggests is possible...

under factory barrel options...

Yes that would be fine. You buy the .338 rifle now and the .308 conversion kit at any point thereafter. I was going to buy an AXMC thinking I could have it on my ticket as a .308 and add the .338 later, the man in the shop he say no!

It's so limited as to places to shoot... :( and expensive to feed... >.<
Not sure whether to just go AX308 and stick with smaller calibres...
The thought of a .300 WM does seem appealing, but in reality I doubt I'd get to shoot it above twice a year :(
