LabRadar vs Magnetospeed chronometer

Hi,

I know not many, if any, have seen the LabRadar but as I'm in the market for a chronometer I was interested if people have a view on the above options.
I know they could both be described as expensive (several days worth of shooting match ammo) but needs must.
I'll be using it to measure .308 hand loaded ammo for my FTR rifle(s).

I was interested in a LabRadar from when they were first announced. Held off buying anything else (including an Oehler 35P). Just recently a Magnetospeed Sporter passed under my nose. It was a fraction of the price of the LabRadar, plus it actually exists, and the business parts are the same as a Magnetospeed V3 (just no fancy handbag etc). At under £200 I couldn't pass it up. I don't think I'd go for a Gen 1 LabRadar even if they were available right now.

I've been after a Lab Radar since they were first announced but have to say the comms from the company have been non-existent. I registered interest both as a consumer and dealer and have never had anything from them. If you look on their Facebook page it appears they've shipped some products but I'm yet to find any for sale.

Can Labradar be sold outside of the U.S.
Yes, however due to foreign government regulations units sold outside of the United States, Canada and Australia and NZ will be set to the low power setting. The accuracy of Labradar remains the same, but the ability to track the projectile will be reduced by approximately 30%.

So only 70 yds max.(with big bullets)

I recently bought a Magnetospeed V3. Good Kit. Very pleased with it. Simple to use on the firing point.
I like the fact that the data can be exported to a spread sheet.
Also very good with subsonic loads.
There are three models available to suit your budget and needs.

Leaning towards the v3 given it also does subsonic and therefore air rifles. Also, as majordisorder mentions, I could be waiting a while before the LabRadar arrives and I could end up being a Beta tester for version 1.

Just ordered the V3. Should have it by tomorrow ready to test at Bisley on Saturday (and Monday).

Wise decision - LabRadar doesn't seem to be as good as expected from the reports I've read. I'm delighted with my V3, it does everything I ask of it and provides very accurate results.
