Hi all as above.

This is a Tula 1896 dated Mosin Nagant M91, its a Finnish Capture as it has the unit disc (purposely removed) and the crossed out Arshinis on the rear leaf sight. This has been counterbored at the muzzle to improve accuracy.

Woodwork has some dings of age.

A rarety to find an early dated Mosin Nagant.

£280

Photos of the Finnish capture & proof/arsenal markings would grab the attention of a few on here.

Another picture of the stock, it is a tad beaten up which is reflected in the price.

Thanks for looking

Better sling loops fitted plus the improved front sight blade as well.

Fully reworked. Nice.

Any inverted triangle with a T inside ?
Chances are this was refurbished between 1925 & 1927, though not many were done in '25.
Work done at Woodpecker Rapids, aka Tikka.
If there is no year stamp on top, it will be under the barrel.
Should also have a letter code A B or C which is the bore dia.
A = .3106 B = .3091 C = .3087
C is most common of the three.

Any AZF capture marks? (Austrian)
Probably had a full service life before the Finnish got hold of it:
WW1, Russian Revolution Finnish Independance War...
THEN the trio of WW2 conflicts on Finnish soil

Sadly I've already bought two Finn M91's this month, so cannot stretch to a third.
Bum!

Ah.
Just seen the new photos...

Any circle with SAT in it?
May be one of the initial reworked rifles between 1918-1924.

LOTS of history in these...(and accurate with it due to the Finnish rebuild)...for peanuts, when compared to practically every other nations main battle rifle of the same period.

Ticks lots of boxes. It'll not be up for sale for long!
