For each increase of 0.3 grain of powder your velocity increases by 28,19,11 and lastly by 53 fps. why is this? I was expecting a smoother curve. Did you take all the readings on the same day? Or is this to do with pressure.
One for Laurie I think.

All most the same
Tikka t3 bartlin barrel 1-8 twist 26"
Lapua cases
Cci br2
140 hybrids
H4350 42.2 2818fps
Difference is coal 2.880 to fit AICS mags
I found the jump made no difference with these Bergers. Groups 1/2 moa or better.
Re the jump in speed, it might be as the case get very full pressure goes up a lot. That's just a guess Laurie will be along soon.

When I had my factory Tikka t3 1:8.5" I think I settled on 139 gr scenar with 37 gr of n140 seated to 2.826" worked a treat, I didn't get chance to chrono it. it's not published anywhere to use n140 but why not, (ask SimG) coincidentally it's a mates accuracy load with his 6.5x47 surgeon who yesterday shot a 49 ex 50 McQueens very windy conditions and at 300 instead of 200

I now have that rifle and after a bit of load development using Nosler 140gr Custom Competitions I settled on 36gr of Lovex S062, a nice mild shooting load that gives better accuracy than I can physically manage to shoot with.
Couple of sample targets shot at 100m (centres are 1" squares), 5 shot and 10 shot groups shot in a 15-18mph crosswind,

N550 works great with 123g scenars or SMKs.....somewhere between 41.5g to 42.3g seems sweet.
