PILAD 1x20 Red dot

Someone school me on this Red dot sight now. Where is snayperskaya to give me advice. I know there is a signal for Sim G (its a Greggs loyalty card, though maybe my subway card can do sometimes?). Tell me this red dot is a good buy or not? Its Russian, so should be built like a tank and Rusmilitary seems to have some in. Or is the Kobra Red dot more worth it?

Not seen one of these but I can tell you it is more a civilian red dot than a military one.The Kobra is a very good sight and widely used by Spetsnaz, Mvd and OMON troops and the newer version is switchable between different reticule styles, and if its an AK specific red dot you are after I can personally recommend either a PK-A or PK-01v, both made with AK side mounts and both had adjustable brightness, if anything the PK-01 is more modern. If you search worldwide on Ebay you'll find a seller called ml-gvalt from Belarus and one called kabacan in Russia, both sell red dots and POSP optics far cheaper than you will get them over here and they also do weaver mount versions as well, I have personally dealt with both sellers a few times and have never had a problem and they have also sourced more obscure optics related items for me.

Ok, thanks. I think I've seen both sellers. I'm leaning towards that a bit more as the rail that is going to replace the red dot is about the same size. I might possibly be one interested in the other red dots too also. I like that there are weaver versions. I figured the red dots were actually Belarusian (I've probably got their plural wrong, feel free to correct me). Say despite Russian sanctions how come I still see certain Russian ammo for sale like Barnual? Is it because they are not a Russian government linked company? Once again thanks for the advice.

Ok Dromia and I hope I don't get into trouble for this. I possess a Browning Buckmark LBP, a 22lr c452 and a VZ58 MARS. I had a 308 remington left-handed that I sold to fund the VZ58 and as I possibly explained I'm wanting something something small to go where the rear sight on a vz is. If you can visualize the where the rear sight is, the bc tacical mount will replace that with a small rail section. I have had no luck with any of the other vz mounts for holding zero and I have a good scope that was on it (Leupold VX3 1.5-5x20, which is now on the cz452). I havent got the mount yet as its travelling by surface, which means a great big boat travelling the atlantic ocean from what I could see. I know a few VZ58 owners are on here and I don't want to get into trouble for this but I don't how or who to approach with.... oh its nothing I shouldn't say it on here. I'm also trying to future proof as I may have set in motion something coming to the UK, but its gonna be a while before I know I have, its legal and its practical to get it here (if the answer to all those is yes, the US dealer/gunsmith will aim to get them sent and they would be sold). Any reason you wanted to know what I had Dromia? Also fun fact Dromia, when I was having my renewal visit (my first one) I noticed that they had (this is South Yorkshire police keep in mind) written the action of the vz58 as semi-auto. As you would guess i asked them to change it as I didn't want my doors broken down in future and having to explain its not a section 5 prohibited firearm. Every word of that is true also. Have you seen any screw ups like that yourself?

Nothing to get into trouble about unless you are feeling guilty about something.

Just perusing your eclectic ranging of the forums I wondered if this shooting and gun ownership game is more of an intellectual rather than a practical pursuit for you.
