..anyone a member or know anyone who is?

I'm try to go through the process of joining - I'm an FAC holder and full member of another Home Office club, but I'm being asked for people to nominate me. I don't know anyone at the club and am not being invited to come along and say hello, so can't see how this would be resolved.

Can anyone shed some light on whether this is in fact the case or whether something has got lost in the emails I've been exchanging with the club secretary...

Is he meaning members from Tees Valley or someone [usually your secretary/chairman] from your previous club to write confirming you're safe and what not? I've had the latter as an FAC holder, which is fair enough I suppose.

The request is for two current members of Tees Valley to propose me.

I've offered contact details for references for existing club captain etc.

Hmm. I thought that "proposing" was usually done if you're a probationer; at the end of your probation a number (two) of full members would effectively countersign you into a full member.

Guessing they don't recruit many new members. Perhaps that's the way they like it. Perhaps that's something to think about.

That's a great way to grow the club and ensure a future for it - not.
