Odd situation with the new permission

went to the farm Monday night to get the permission letter signed and for a walk around the land with the farmer .. He said he used to shoot rimfire on the land until the police revoked his licence (he didn't say why)
I spoke to the police and they said they didn't have the land in the system ..emailed them a map of thf farm and a scanned copy of the permission letter and now I wait .. Perhaps the farmer had an "open" ticket or perhaps the land was declined clearance and he was caught shooting on it anyways !!
So for the time being its shotgun or air rifle ..(I've asked for my ticket to be opened up anyways)

I had a spot of land turned down as unsuitable...supposedly by the local force whose area the land was in.
My local FEO was MOST surprised to learn that the local force HAD already passed the same land & two other FAC holders were happily shooting deer on it
