Hunting Weather

It's now 5:22 am here, it's fecking freezing outside, it's raining with the chance of snow later. In ten minutes I'm going to get ready to go out after Bambi, ain't life great

I love shooting in winter time,less ground cover,easier to see your quarry,but, more difficult to sneak up,that's where fieldcraft comes in.But,best of all,NO bl**dy biting insects!!Just have to wrap up a bit more.

Makes the target stand out, i was on the snow last week , just balancing a few bunny & fox. less light needed at night too

Very interesting following tracks in the snow though. You can see the Sika regular routes. Also, where the Roe come out from cover, venture out about 30 feet, eat and go back to cover.
