Anyone used these? I'm guessing the acronym means 'hollow point covered' they look like a great idea.

I know S&B make a 180 grain fmj load so I'm guessing it's a slight spelling mistake.

This is the S&B 180gr HPC bullet - looks to me like a copper-capped hollow-point or similar ... ...

I really like the look of that round, kind of like a steampunk ballistic tip!
If I find myself passing Tenbury guns on my travels I will try and buy some, as at todays prices for ammo £21 a box isn't too bad.
I bet they would knock the stuffing out of reds!

Looks like an Amax but with a big copper tip rather than plastic :)

Be careful however, S&B ammo has quite a reputation for case-head separations, I saw two yesterday with their new production .303 ammo in a No.4 Mk.2, apparently this happens with various calibres. The stuck cases can be a b*gg*r to remove. Luckily my pal had a stuck case tool from the Bren maintenance kit with him - he needed it.

they say they are staying open now
with S&B brass, 308 is supposed to be good stuff, their 303B is horrible stuff, i have some and am having trouble opening the bolt just on their factory stuff. I'm not going to even try to reload it.
so i have around 150 cases destined for the bin now.
but I did ok on my last trip to Oundle, I spotted someone emptying around 50 cases into the bin after shooting them through their no4. so I leapt to the rescue and rehomed the poor things. HXP and PPU... don't mind if I do

Dont bin em, I know someone who is using the stuff for re-enactment as dummies.
Do youself a favour and get some PPU brass. Relatively cheap and works well. I had a really good shoot with their bullets and brass a few weeks beck, although there are better bullets.
I have had S&B seperate on first firing and as a bullet collector you quite regularly find the separated case heads on the range with....wait for it.....an S&B head stamp.
Dunno about those bullets, best tried out I guess.
