Collapsible stocks

Hi.

I imagine a lot of the AR15 owners on here have collapsible stocks on their guns.

I've got two.

Thing is. All I ever do is collapse them to bag the rifle and extend then fully when I shoot it. I'm not sure why I even collapse them to bag.

Does anyone here actually use the collapsible functionality to alter length of pull or anything like that?

I'm considering putting ACE lite stocks on my AR's as they'll save weight, be more rigid and less fiddle.

Any thoughts?

I use it fully extended for prone but collapse it in 1 for the kneeling and standing and sitting in csr.Brings everything in closer and gives me more stable position for those stages.

Have an ACE ARFX I'm interested in selling, good stock, but just felt too long for me.

I've got a mil-spec tube going cheap too. You want spring and buffer with that?

I suppose the collapsible stock works well if for example you shoot with a heavily padded jacket in the winter and say a t-shirt in the summer.Incidentally the reason standard Russian stocks tend to be shorter than NATO stocks is due to the heavily padded Russian winter jackets.

I've got 2, ACS & UBR, I adjust to the correct position initially & then just leave them alone.
