Hensoldt 10x42 ???????

I have been offered a Hensoldt 10x42 scope for a very small price. If I do take it, it will eventually put on a 308 for both range and stalking.
Anyone had any experience of them or know anything about them ??
Any advice appreciated.

If I was less than honest I would say it was crap, avoid it and forward me the details instead
The Hensoldt 10x42 is a very, very good 'scope and they command good prices, all I can say is rip his arm off for it, and do it quickly before he changes his mind!

Hensoldt = Zeiss so provided its genuine will be guaranteed.

Be sure to read your Zeiss warranty carefully! I believed that my Zeiss Diatal was Guaranteed for thirty years.... And so it was BUT! for parts only. The Guarantee for labour was only for five years. Hence the quote to sort out my fogged up Diatal scope was about, or slightly more than I paid for the scope brand new.
In spite of it fogging up it is still a first rate little scope, and at the moment sits atop my No4 Lee Enfield.

We were talking about the 10X42 at the range today, someone has one for sale right now for GBP250, he did say his one had an odd mount on it so had been modified to fit a normal rail.
