Hello,
I'm new to this forum. My name is Phil.
I am looking for a truly accurate AR-15 for a range gun and the odd bit of vermin.
The choices are Lantac, Spikes, SGC, Icon Arms and Matt Greenall.
Which one's do you guys use?
Thanks in advance for your advice.
Phil

Out of that lot I'd buy a Bradley Arms, made in London !

Lantac, accept no substitute.

I bought a SGC 223 AR stunning bit of kit, the other night we were comparing guns all AR15 and there was a Lantec looked very nice and a BA also looked nice , I had a go with a BA the next day and it was very good so I think most of your list can make dam good guns,

What's your budget for this truly accurate AR-15?

You also saw mine from Valkyrie if you recall .... did all that wine and stew make you forget

Hi Phil,
You have obviously forgot
Bradley arms from your list along with
Valkyrie rifles.
Having owned an early Greenhall, this was excellent, well put together and modified by Mark for right hand charging. Great rifle, no issues just not right for me when I changed disciplines, still owned by Charlotte the flyer on this forum.
I have a SCG which is very well engineered, this shoots exceptionally well but has a billet lower and therefore does not except all accessories.
Do not underestimate the rifles from Dave Baldie at Valkyrie, I have stopped using my SGC for CSR and now use this, very accurate and superbly engineered in fit and finish.
Budget will dictate your final outcome but any from the main 5 players in
bold are worth consideration in my opinion

Hello,
Thanks for your imput.
Mark or Dave don't do billet lowers. Mark does the billet uppers though.
My budget is 2k.ish
My trouble is I work in engineering for my day job so the billet upper and lowers do appeal to me.
And I know they are heavier, but they do look good :-) simple things eh....
So there is my predicament!
Thanks again guys :-)

Other than the following perfectly serviceable substitutes;
Spikes, SGC, Valkerie, Bradley Arms, Icon Arms and Matt Greenall
My BAR works a treat.
Contrary to popular belief you can save a lot by not bolting all manner of walty add ons you dont (and never will) need for Foxing, CSR and general shooting
