http://www.midwayuk.com now resolves to http://www.brownells.co.uk/

Has Brownells always owned Midway or is this a take-over thing?

Anyhoo... so, should I keep my .com account with Brownells as it'll almost certainly be cheaper than the above. Will there be any advantage to ordering from Brownells "UK"?

More like a change in what franchise Pete Starley is now running.

Never heard of ANY connection between those two US firms, nor would one be likely AFAIK, as Brownells run a Midway type company already (Sinclairs)

IF the only option we have in the UK is to go through the UK "branch" then I'll be closing my Brownells account as the price hikes exhibited by the MidwayUK outfit were comical & I don't see how/why there'd not be an identical system run for price gouging of Brownells products.

A huge shame as I had a lot of respect for Brownells & they WERE a great firm to deal with

I found the usual massive price increases when I had a look earlier, 1000 x Nosler 168gr CC bullets for £365.30!!!! that's almost 50% more than Brock & Norris were selling them for and over twice what I paid for them from Germany even with shipping!.

S&W 15-22 mags are £20.20, depending on shipping costs this could be a significant saving over other suppliers.

.44 cases £30+ where as Kranks were £22.

Intermediary plus margin will once again make this a vendor of last resort.

Well, I guess you're an unhappy bunny then.

I still have my Brownells.com account (fat lot of good that is now) and I guess my discount is history with the UK site. My MidwayUK account details have been transferred or to the Brownells UK site, which is something I guess... 8-)

I've had an order outstanding with Brownell's USA since the 15th, hoping it's going to make it before the cut over if this "Sale Item" is anything to go by...
