Would you support legislation to ban wearing of MTP anywhere

Inspired by recent events..........
I was brought up in Republic of Ireland. There, legislation makes it a criminal offence to wear their current issue camo clothing in public. The Irish military do not sell off surplus. You could get repro "paddyflage" from Arktis but to wear it in RoI is an offence. You can wear any other countries surplus though.
So, that takes the confusion out of it.
It could be done here. But would you agree with it ?

I also grew up in a place where wearing of their military uniform by non-serving people was against the law. So I'd have no problem with that.
It would probably only upset the handful of airsoft walts who wear MTP.

What utter bollox.
... on the basis of your proposal why do you believe what you do?
What claims are you making about those who may wear military surplus clothing?

Why do we need more laws, what's the point/benefit? Just legislating for the sake?

Easy Tiger - not a proposal. Not a dig at anybody. I wear camo albeit realtree head to toe for stalking and have been wearing the same camo fir CSR.
As to the definition of uniform - I believe the Irish dont use that word rather "current issue military clothing" or similar. Insignia does not come into it.

I maybe missing a point here but is real tree clothing being classed in the same bracket as military Camo now ?, it all seems a right load of old BS to me the more I read about this, as I can walk to my nearest river and see many grown men and women in full camo, be it ex mil or real tree and not once do I think Fk me its a terrorist cell ? or that any min now there will be a carp fishemans uprising, why don't we get real and stop letting the minority rule us, if they don't like seeing people in Camo TUFF, as for CSR at bisley its request from above so if we can't see ourselves when we stand in the woods we have gone to far !!!

The Bisley rule refers to military uniform.
But having thought about it, I just decided to swap to non-camo for Bisley and keep the realtree for stalking - it really annoys me having to pander to the PC pedants but I know a lot of people have worked hard to get CSR where it is and I dont want to get into a confrontation with some idiot telling me my realtree is not allowed as I would probably say something I would later regret.
I suppose that viewed from 500 yards head to toe realtree is just as offensive to the anti camo brigade as MTP or DPM.

Because the issue has generated pages of debate here and elsewhere recently. With many advocating that it should only be worn by the military etc
And as I said, I was raised in a country where its prohibited by law. So, I just put it out there for debate.
