Another chamber section
I periodically section chambers of old barrels, mostly out of curiosity and as examples to people of round counts and chambers and this afternoon I spent some time on a .308 shown below.
Look carefully and you will see some concentric rings in the chamber itself, probably due to swarf not being flushed away during the chambering process, the throat is starting to show signs of erosion and the rifling is dark for the first inch or so. Anyone care to guess on the round count and purpose of the rifle?

It was an F Class rifle, this one was 32" Heavy Palma profile.
