Today was a great day

#1 Post by Brookers »

Today we carried out sound tests at a building we are hoping to build an indoor range in.

Countryman was there as well,

Gun one, .762 un-surpressed, I'm thinking no way we will get away with this. Five shots fired, I'm stood outside with the sound engineer and we could only hear 4 out of the 5 lollol Just a little bit of sound proofing and I will have a new indoor fullbore range built.

We tested .762, .223, 12g, .44 mag, .357mag and black powder. Most of it we couldn't even hear.

Next step the planning aplication. If they can't see us and can't hear us I'm hoping it won't be a problem aaarggh

More news as I get it :good:

Cheers guys,

Still a long way to go yet but yesterday was a massive milestone. shakeshout

The space we are looking at is in the vaulted cellars of a 18th century brewery and the building is massive with 2' thick walls. Perfect place to situate a range. If it all happens how I'm planning we will have a 9 lane 25m range for gallery and a 6 lane 50m range for full bore clapclap

The area of the country is East Somerset, that's all I can say for the moment. When I can say more I will.

And Tony, yes it has been a long time, 14 years since we lost the last range.
