We had the same at the ITSC... a set of steel plates on a frame that people could get out and shoot at, with lead bullets.

At the club AGM last week it was announced that they could now only be used under Committee supervision because some plonker has been shooting at them with HV jacketed during the week

I don't know what ITSC means but never mind. So these targets are they normally shot at close range with cast is that the issue. I'm not sure what you are up tight about steel targets are there to be shot at aren't they. Or am I missing some thing. Is it because they did not change them after shooting them up.

Oops I reread the posts lead bullets underlined. I get it.

ITSC is a club up in the fens. Well, above the fens, but you get the idea.

That is why they get damaged, unthinking people who shoot first and ask afterwards.

I guess? -They / he / it / she were either an NRA member, presumably with a cert card? & so should also know about safety & the range regs, & were shooting alone? - so it wasn't observed? or they were with a club & they are as stupid! & culpable too! ****

It just takes one stupid reckless incident to shut a range down & ruin every-bodies day - so why 'Practice to have one?'

Range office just don't have the staff to police the ranges & I don't want CCTV on the FP does any one else? but if we cant use the place properly, then we risk loosing the autonomy to self manage our own fun & that's when regulation comes in & fun goes out.

Hardox stops FMJ fulbore rounds from very close range , to penetrate it he must have either repeatedly hit the same spot or used AP ammo which is illegal for civvies to posses ?

Either way the perpetrator was a chopper !
