Chamber Honing?

Has anyone here had any experience polishing a chamber with one of those Flex-Hone tools?

Chambers shouldn't be ribbed, should they? :o

Any other suggestions for DIY polishing?

Not enough info. What type of chamber are we talking about.

I can see it.

Seriously; the tooling is fairly pronounced and I'd like it polished - or at least at a stage where stuck cases aren't an issue.

Ribbed, for her pleasure ribbed, or HK G3 fluted type ribbed?

That said, it's an AK you're talking about.
Break out a chamber stick, an electric drill, some wire wool & a couple of drops of oil....then have at it

That's been suggested. I'm a DIY kinda guy and if I can avoid handing it to a gunsmith for several weeks (and several hundreds of quid, probably) then I'll do so! I'm assuming the wire wool will conform to the taper ok?

I think Saddler's sarcasm flew right over the top and missed completely! ;)

Do you reload for the rifle and if so, have you had any issues with it as it is? If you post some pictures of the brass it might also give a better idea of the problem.

No, not really. It's a method suggested on many firearms message boards.

The sarcasm I saw, was Saddler's comment "That said, it's an AK you're talking about."

Anyway, it's not a method I would try as I feel it would be too easy mess up to the chamber completely as the steel wool is not rigid like a reamer and could confirm to any shape depending on how pressure is applied.

One of my rifle has some chattering marks in the shoulder of the chamber but it doesn't effect performance or my reloading for it.
