I know it is not a new concept to form 9mm/.355 jacketed bullets from old 9mm brass cases however it seems be something mostly carried out in the USofA as opposed to the UK, possibly because the investment in the dies, fired brass and lead cores is going to make the home manufacture of such bullets impractical over here for all but the most dedicated enthusiast.

Having said all this I am tempted to have a bash albeit in a low key manner, so does anyone have experience of the process for the .355" bullet or something similar?

What's the max size you could jacket with .22lr cases? I'd have thought there'd be enough material to at least half-jacket, possibly full jacket if you could stretch it thin enough. Sorry, doesn't help you out really :-)

I remember once reading an article about making jacketed pistol bullets from .22 cases, but I seem to remember it was limited to .25/.32 ACP only.

Wouldn't the head section of the 9mm case be a bit thick for swaging into a bullet jacket?
