Strange phone call

#1 Post by simong »

Evening Peeps,

I've just had a strange phone call and can't make my 2 brain cells decide wether its a wind up or something else:
I've a 38 nitro muzzle thingy on Guntrader which is due to finish in the next day or 2. Oik phones me up this evening and says " you've a 38 revolver on Guntrader ?" yes says I, "the price is 500 ?" says the oik again yes says me , " will you take 1000 of the books and I'll come to you tomorrow?" Click says my phone !!

Anybody else had any calls like that about Adverts in Guntrader ?

I'd be doing a '1471' for the number and passing it straight on

Never heard anymore.

I think a better word to use in court would be entrapment...

In any case, we'd inform Mr Plod.

Called ID blocked is still obtainable by the police isn't it? I'd definitely report it.

I'd have said yes, but then made sure a couple of plain clothed occifers of ze law were on hand to nab him when he turned up (but NOT at the home address, a McDs would be bang on for such shenanigans)

This is a classic example of why I pulled the plug half-way through registering for Gun Trader - I'm just not happy putting my private phone number online associated with firearms.
