The Enfield was a fabulous weapon...I can feel a variation coming on!

A nice combination of rifles, Enforcer's seem to be a bit thin on the ground right now and the last one I saw was a couple of years ago. How do you get on with the Pecar? I have read so many articles about wandering zeros but everyone I know that uses one has never had a problem which makes me wonder how big the 'problem' really was. Personally I think they make a very handy rifle/scope combination and I would have one in a blink
The very first place I shot my 4(T) was nigh on exactly the same firing point as these photographs.

I have heard tales of a wandering zero on the enforcer and no.5 but have never personally encountered any problem with either. Optically the pecar is an excellent scope even by today's standards, the only downside in my opinion being that as the reticle
is set in the first focal plane at magnifications above around bowl the centre post of the reticle
becomes bit a coarse for my liking.

The very first place I shot my 4(T) was nigh on exactly the same firing point as these photographs.
It was only a few points along, to wards the woods, that I finally decided that my No4 Enforcer style was no longer worth my time. I was shooting a Mc Queen's and the thing just refused to feed.
In the style of an immature golfer, I got up intending to throw the thing into the woods but thankfully either the respect I had for the RO or my training kicked in and I made it safe and stood back for a few minutes.
It will be a long time before I return to the Enfield stable although I am regularly tempted by the Schmidt Ruben's,

yes I reload for both the rifles for the 4T i use HXP brass with 41 grains of viht N140 with a 174 grain smk and for the enforcer I use Privi brass with 44 grains of viht N140 with a 150 grain smk.
The 7.62 Enfield conversions can be a bit tempremental with feeding and case ejection but adjusting the feed lips and magazine follower together with a slower stroking of the bolt all the way back to the bolt stop usually sorts it out.
