Big bore .308 Win Wildcats

I am thinking about building a .308 Wildcat with a larger cast bullets suitable for 50-100 yard range work. The rifle has a .308 bolt face hence the choice of parent cartridge and I would prefer not to chop the brass shorter so ideally it will run full length .308 Win brass. Also it needs to be quite lazy, I am not looking for super high muzzle energy or high MV's - ideally it will use the cast bullet however if jacketed bullets are available that would be good as well.
Does anyone have any thoughts on something suitable? The Action is a .308 BF Repeater so I can magazine feed as well and anything up to 9,5mm or even 10,0mm is a consideration as long as I have a enough room left for a shoulder on the case.

How about a 9.3mm wildcat based on a .308w case.
I believe you can make 9.3x62 from .30-06 cases so why not a 9.3x51. You never know it might catch on as a boar cartridge.

Nah he wants a wildcat mate, something a bit different.
Or what about a .40- 308. A 10mm (.40" calibre) in a .308w case.

Not a wildcat per se but it will do what you require admirably.
Neck it up to .35 and you will have the 358 Win. A fine, but now languishing, cartridge.
Marry that with a 358009 280Gr boolit and phwoarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

A twist on a Beowulf perhaps Dave?
We used to see large calibre bullets put into sawn off 7.62x51 cases coming back from various places.

As much as the .40-308 appeals there is a lot to be said for a standard .358 Win - the brass is easily formed, the dies are going to be available as are bullets and I can easily source rifle length bullets in lead and jacketed to enable me to build to 2.800"

But you said you wanted a wildcat Dave and .358win is a factory round.
So another thought how about a 8x 51mm ??? Once again something similar was done with the .30-06 case but not with the .308win case as far as I know.
I still like the idea of the 9.3x51mm though.
