You know what I mean! Someone who bothers you when you are trying to shoot and wants to know about your hand-loads then criticizes your re-loading technique! I had one last week.... You could hear his rife from the car park. He was shooting some type of 'black' rifle, .308 with a muzzle break. The range I was at has a roof over the firing points so the thing was deafening! He had no range etiquette and was oblivious to everyone around him. I'm surprised I can still hear!

Firing yesterday two feet from a .308 muzzle break. Can't say I enjoy it but I find it adds 'pressure' to my shooting.

I am one of those with a Muzzle brake, but I do always ask people either side of me at Bisley if they mind me using the muzzle brake, if they aren't keen I just screw the Mod on

I think all clubs probably have at least one, we certainly do tesnews

North Star, I am sure I met his brother here in the UK, he gave me a lecture on reloading in the Butts one morning, even resorting to a calculator to explain the finer points whilst I was trying to mark the shots. By the time our hour was up he had me pegged as bestest mate and followed me to the firing point where he moved in nice and close so we could continue to talk whilst shooting.

I made a mental note to avoid him from that point onwards and changed clubs soon after where I met his long lost brother.... They exist everywhere.

We got 3 of em at our club....

Yep. Loads of them about.
They claim to be shooters, but seem to spend most of their time and energy complaining about other people's dress sense...

Thankfully (now its raining and a bit cold) they have mostly gone away and won't be back until the spring. Leaving the rest of us to enjoy our shooting in peace.

There's a guy who goes to a gallery rifle club who constantly talks about centrefire reloading, every single load he makes and about every precise detail for shooting. He doesn't often shoot at the club. When we finally hit the centrefire range he shoots as fast as he can for 2 hours then buggers off home saying he has better things to do. Quite bizzare.

Range etiquette should demand that all communication should get to the point quickly and concisely.

I still have a serious hangup about people who turn up, shoot and them announce they need to go home/take the wife shopping/paint the cat or whatever so missing their stint in the butts...
