The new year is here... O:-)

Here at the SHED we are set to start a new build of the Støtteben bipod. Because we normally only make a run when we have enough orders I would like to ask if there are more interested than those who have already expressed an interest.

any????

Hi Christel, what's the price? and is there an adapter to mount it on a standard sling swivel or picatinny rail mount?

£250

It is a standard T- type accessory rail pick up.

Christel, thanks for the email.

How would you, or could you attach this if you only have sling swivel studs?
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Mike, there are QD to Anschutz rail converters but they are pretty rare.

If we were in the US you could get a 15" length of rail for $13 and screw it onto the bottom of your stock,

There are some options for Harris bipod users.

Firstly I can supply an adapter for the bipod heads to enable them to be fitted to a Harris type stud however I have a couple of concerns, one the bipod may twist slightly on forend in use as it is connected by a single narrow point, two it involves a loose pin which may get lost or dropped when not in use. Having said that I use standard ground steel pins and can supply a few with each adapter.

I can also supply an adapter plate which is designed to accept our bipods however it will need attaching to the forend with a couple of screws.

Alternatively you can let in a length of rail to the underside and use the standard bipod fixing or as suggested pick up an off the shelf QR to rail adapter however I have never seen one for sale.

At long last the legs are back from engraving so I will finish assembly today and we can start shipping tomorrow. There are some subtle changes to the bipod including the leg/ankle interface and geometry and I am pleased with the way they perform plus there is a further weight saving over the Støtteben Mk II.

I will post a picture when we have assembled a few :p
