In ear ear defence

Wondering if anyone has any experience/recommendations for people offering the moulded (custom fit) "in ear" ear defenders? Increasingly unhappy with the faff with glasses and the "over ear" style of ear defenders I use.
Bonus points if they operate in wilts/glos/somerset area.

I believe Specsavers will do custom-molded ear-plugs of various types. Maybe you should go... :)

I use CENS for clays/target shooting, very comfortable they start at about £100 for passive inserts and go up from there

From what I have been told by people in the lug trade is that ear plugs of any type on their own are not a good idea for shooting as damage can still happen through the outside of the ear which muffs protect.
if you are a bit back from the firing line then they might be ok but being next to some one firing full bore they are not a good idea, I have stopped using plugs on their own. Eyes and ears are too precious to risk.

Plugs are no good for the eyes, either :)
(I tend to use both for full bore, unless it's a relatively small amount of pistol-calibre out in the open. I think I have particularly sensitive ears...)

Why don't you get the defenders with glasses that attach to the frame? Then there's no faff :-)

I agree with earlier comments on this. I was previously using a pair of Auritech ear plugs - they are great for rimfire but when you're near any fullbore shooting it is still really loud and I had to "double up" with regular ear defenders.
I've now switched to using MSA Sordins with the gel ear seals - this gives me full protection as the gel forms a seal around the frames of your glasses and is comfortable for longer periods of use...
