Cost of FAC grants
Quick question - I remember a police force disclosed, probably through Freedom of Information, that granting a firearm certificate cost it something like £60. Can anyone tell me which police force that was? Bonus points for a link to the source!
Cheers.

I did, and I can't find my own source for the £67 - though I'm certain I've seen it somewhere.
Re: Cost of FAC grants
Well I just did the maths based on the link to the freedom of information disclosure from South Wales police and divided their total expenditure recorded (£197,814.86) by the number of FAC and SGC applications/renewals etc. (2922) which comes to.......
£67.70 (rounded)

Re: Cost of FAC grants
My last variation took just over 8 weeks for a 1for1 with no other changes. Renewals are taking 18 weeks it has been reported.
Re: Cost of FAC grants
My last variation took 48hours, (post office tracking said it arrived with them Monday am, fresh FAC on my doormat Wednesday morning), so it's not all bad!

No indeed, Sussex.
Word was there was a little reshuffle in the licensing dept when a couple of members of staff retired and the system miraculously became really quite rapid and efficient...
