When young shooting talent can't even get sponsorship I do doubt we will see firearms on flags or crests in this country.

It's a cracking idea but in the case of my county it will have to be the "English" longbow - as in the Bowmen of Gwent and Agincourt fame.

I am told that the bollards used to line the pavements are actually real cannons which failed their first firing. Funny to think the outline shape is still used today for Ballards, doubt many know where the shape comes from.
Neither the council or the local scouts appear to have any sign of the history on their logos,
But at least the local football team still has a Cannon on their badge
