Shooting in France or Belgium

I’m looking into a camping holiday in September through Belgium and France and I had the thought that it might be possible to get my hands on some pistols or centre fire rifles during the trip. I’m planning on landing around Zeebrugge and working my way down to Epernay so over the course of the week we’ll be covering a little bit of ground, hopefully stopping at a few battlefields.
Do any of our French or Belgium members (or any British members who have done what I’m thinking of) have any advice on getting any shooting whilst over there? For that matter are there places you can turn up/ book and have a shoot?
Any advice would be appreciated, I don’t know if it’s even possible but I thought it would be worth asking!

Coppens in Knokke Heist will sell you ammo and lend guns on production of your fac.
Best to phone in advance and book.

Thanks Tony, looks promising and only a few minutes from Zeebrugge!
Have you shot their yourself? do they have a wide selection of firearms to chose from?

I was a member there for a few years.
They have a whole range of pistols and rifles.(or did have haven't been there in a few years)
Lots of 9mm,45acp and 357 pistols and a few Desert Eagles.

Write to the Féderation de Champagne asking :
a) if they can direct you to a club that would let you shoot. Usually it is left to the discretion of the president of the club. In my club, it can be done only under the supervision & responsibility of a current approved member.
b) if they can point you to the direction of a club that offers a "decouverte du tir" (trial package).
ligue.champagne-tir@orange.fr
there are many clubs in the region you are intending to visit

I shot at Coppens in February this year.
Tried calling but could never get through, I just turned up with my FAC, club details, passport and European Firearms Pass.
They let me shoot by myself and they owner was very helpful.
Hire cost was about 30EUR plus ammo. I spent about 400EUR
To name a few firearms on offer:
Beretta 92FS, HK USP, CZ75, Browning HP, Glock 17, Various 1911's, one German made and a couple of STI Race guns in .45 and .38 Super. Various revolvers, S&W, Ruger, Colt Python.
Rifles, .30cal M1 Carbine Iver Johnson made, Beretta CX4 Storm 9mm.

I can also recommend Coppens, been a few times over the last few years, always been very accommodating. You have to try the .50 cal Desert Eagle if he still has it!

Wow thanks for the advice guys, Coppens sounds good as it is near Zeebrugge and won't be much of a detour! I'll start making some enquiries!

Co-incidentally, I'm off to Paris next week (Wifes birthday), is there anywhere in Paris to shoot..?
A nice indoor range where I can re-aquaint myself with pistols would be great...
TIA
