Does of anyone know of any speed steel competitions or clubs in the south of England?
Preferably one that doesn't require fancy dress.

they normally do speed steels at the action weekends I think, bisley

Action Weekends are a good place to start, you can use both full-bore and rim-fire lever actions if you like.
