A few thoughts:
a) These EU categories of firearms seem to have been written around UK law, if you take Cat A as Section 5, Cat B as (still S5 for us) pistols/self-loading rifles, Cat C as all other Section 1 fireams and Cat D as shotguns. Have our politicians exported our damaging and restrictive laws to Europe? (makes a change from it happening the other way round...)
b) Is this likely to impact on us, for example in banning multi-shot shotguns and/or long .22 pistols?
c) What can we do to help our brothers-in-arms in Europe? Given that the European Commission is safely divorced from the EU "parliament" and other methods by which ordinary people can kill off rubbish like this...
