So far I've a Moisin Negant and a A.I. ( I wish! ) 50cal Muzzle Loader added to my FAC...

Anyone else had dealers print off Form 11 notifications with spelling and other mistakes on?

I use my own, created in CorelDraw and saved as a PDF.

I just email Plod to let them know what I've done and attach a PDF copy.

Here's an edited version of the last one I sent in, https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/103 ... rchase.pdf

I wouldn't worry about it the police firearms licencing dept cant get it right either , after carefully explaining to them what the guns were that I had , after it was wrong last time it still came back wrong this time , just because two manufacturers come from the same country , dealers and police seem to think its OK to apply whichever name they choose ie BRNO and CZ , take your pick , there is a huge difference .

I think that my firearms dept are fantastic, but I've had a battle to get them to understand the difference between a Lee Metford (what they put on the cert) and a Martini Metford (what I actually had). Apparently "that's what was on the computer''. Even a letter with pictures of each didn't help, but eventually they just changed it when I put a variation on and highlighted the name was wrong.

Mine insist there's no such thing as a 300aac Blackout, took about 30mins with the FLM on the phone, ended up with "300 Bolt Action Rifle" which is unusual for Durham as they normally insist on the exact chambering and action type even though not required under the H.O. guidelines.

The bolt action bit had to be changed later but that's another story!. Northumbria on the other hand would have just put "30cal rifle" and that would have been the end of it.

And, I've still got a hold allowance for 600 .223/5.56 even though the rifle came off the FAC 2 variations ago!.

I have a 300Whisper chambered rifle, got it on a 30cal slot, and it's still down as a 30cal rifle, all involved knew about the chambering. Sometimes things can be easy.
